Welcome to Sociology!
Welcome to Mr. Brewer's Sociology site! This class will first explore what Sociology is and how it fits into the other social sciences. There will be an emphasis on the ideas of classical sociologists and various careers throughout the field for students that go on to select Sociology as a college major. Students will gain an understanding of how to view society through a sociological perspective as well as practice thinking & researching as a social scientist. Each student will be required to facilitate 2 discussion leads based on a topic of their choosing, write college level papers, read and evaluate articles about sociology, and create multimedia presentations to share with the class.
